The exact dates change year-to-year, but this will give you a general idea of what happens in year-round club soccer.
SUMMER - (END OF MAY - BEGINNING OF JUNE)
This isn't an official league season but year-round soccer starts here every year. Upon registration, teams are set and typically start practice twice a week, which goes throughout the summer. Summer weekends are also when most tournaments take place. Most tournaments we attend take place in the Salt Lake City area, however, some may include out of state travel. All plans for tournaments and practice locations will generally be announced at registration.
FALL SEASON (LATE AUGUST - NOV)
There is opportunity for Express teams to participate in a Fall League in the Salt Lake area. Practices will continue after the summer tournament season, with games generally starting around the end of August. Express teams will continue to practice at least twice a week and will usually be scheduled for one game as well. The Fall season typically ends in late October.
WINTER SEASON (NOV - MARCH)
Express teams practice once a week, usually in a gym at the Rec Center or one of the elementary schools. Practice this time of year is in preparation for the Cowboy Turf Wars tournament held in Laramie, WY in Janurary. All players are encouraged to continue training throughout the winter season, which runs November - February.
SPRING SEASON (APRIL - MAY)
The spring season begins back outdoors when the snow melts, generally at the end of March. Teams typically will begin outdoor practice (weather permitting) in mid-March. Twice a week practices are a common occurrence, with the main focus of getting a touch for the ball and soccer focused endurance. The season concludes and roles right into the summer tournament season.
